Yesterday entrenous88 asked for good B/A and in my attempts to be helpful to her and also to start organizing the rec page on my website, I thought I'd post some of my favorite B/A fics. This list is not comprehensive and there is some bias towards B/A that I think non-B/A'ers would like (so no tangofic and indiefic human AU, much as I love it).


Guilt Trembling Spoke My Doom by a2zmom. This is an Angel fic, first and foremost but it still ranks as one of my favorite B/A fics. Future, Shanshu.

Dance by a2zmom. Futurefic, which is my favorite kind. Unobstrusively artistic.

Mortality by alleynyc. Futurefic set Post-Chosen. Buffy-centric.

I Love a Woman That Rains by Lamia Archer, aka carlyinrome. One of the few and proud highschool B/A fics that makes me come back for a second (or twentieth) read.

Glycerin by Lamia Archer. Buffy season 5, Angel-centric. The love and the creepiness combine in a way that is *so* Angel.

Endangered by evil_little_dog. Set in Angel S5. Just the right amount of sweet to go with the bitter.

Boomerang by faith_delivers. This is actually A/B/F but it is one of the few that is true to B/A and B/F and I lurveeee it.

Enough Space by fb2wendy. Part of the in-progress "What If. . ." series that places Buffy in the midst of the action in AtS S5.

Concessions by gia6seconds. Um, this is hot hot hot kinkfic. Set AtS 5.

Fait Accompli by gia6seconds. Less sex, more fic. Set during "Damage".

Eight is Her Lucky Number by leni_ba I think Leni does a great job with a future, conflicted Buffy.

Come to Me by leni_ba. Great "dream" fic with that beautiful future Buffy.

Nature of the Beast Series by Jo, aka librarian2003. Slayer-verse AU, B/A and B/Aus. This is tome length but worth it- full of literary references and very tightly woven.

A Peculiar Comfort by neverneverfic. Another kinkfic with very satisfying psychological undertones.

Crossed Lines by margotlefaye. Margot is a huge name in B/A fic, and she can bring the smut like nobody's business. It's hard to choose what to rec, so I recced the one I'd most recently reread.

All That's Best of Dark and Bright by redbrickrose. This is a mix of A/S and S/B and B/A but I think it's so heartbreaking and as much as my B/A shipper heart wants something a little different, it's probably right on the money. Post-NFA.

Of You in Dreaming of the Night by regala_electra. Another dream-fic, set during Season 7.

Last Words by regala_elektra. Futurefic, with B/A, C/A, and S/B. .

Love Lies Bleeding by scribesds. A slayerverse AU futurefic, in a post-apocalyptic world.

Possession-Exorcism by Fleur, aka stoptocheer. I LOVE this fic, so much so that I actually recced it to BBF despite the fact that it's B/A. Oh, post-NFA.

Blame it on Rio by Ducks, aka theantijoss. One of many potential recs, Ducks being the B/A BNF with a love for wonderful smutty fluff. This is a short futurefic.

La et Ailleurs by yseultdb. Ahem, the tension! Alternate post-Becoming.
