And continuing my effort to rec some of the great fic written by those on my flist:


itsabigrock: You know that genre of Angel/Spike fic that features a melancholy lyricism and have Buffy as a main character but she isn't physically present in the fic? Wandering in Aquamarine is one of these and it is really beautiful. Spectrum, an Angel/Spike futurfic written with estepheia, made me laugh out loud with the great banter.

janedavitt: Well, the obvious rec is Secretary, a Wes/Faith AU based on the movie of the same name, written with allegraslade, lovesbitca, and darling_effect. Other fics I've loved and have probably missed sending feedback (shame on me): Waiting, Watching, Anticipating, a Faith/Wes story with horny Faith and dark, repressed Wes, Suits Me, a fun and surprisingly touching AtS 5 Spike/Gunn, and Thank You, Ma'am, a short & hot Faith/Spike ficlet set in BtVS 7.

kita0610: Kita writes great Angel-- she's known for it. But my favorite fic of hers, one I go back to in a masochistic, need a punch in the gut kind of way, is Six Foot Deep, a Buffy/Spike fic cowritten with Jessica Walker that delves into the after-effects of Buffy's death. It is dark and depressing and I think they "get" where Buffy was at during all of this.

leni_ba: First, I'll rec One-Way Ticket, a Faith/Aus/Buffy fic that is dark and wonderful for it. Also Seeking Answers, a Connor-centric fic that focuses on a first-meeting with Buffy in what would be the beginning of Buffy Season 7 I think.

librarian2003: I really like Bringer of Life, a really unique look at Angel's future and his deep past. B/A, although mostly about Angel.

liz_marcs: I don't hate any Buffyverse character, but the one I tend to like the least is Xander. When I read a Xander fic by Lizbeth, I forget my 'unlove' and just go with the story. But as good as her Xander/Faith is ( try Contrite Spirits), I'm reccing Ishmael Sings of the White Whale where Faith grapples with the responsibility of saving the day when everyone else has fallen apart. Faith/Angel/Wes.

mshepnj: Mary (aka Quirkygrl) is working on what is promising to be a fabulous, intricate B/A story Ghost of a Dream.

neverneverfic: In addition to be one of the best beta's out there, Meg can write (she just needs to do it more!). Check out her latest, a B/A kinkfic offering that is dark chocolate goodness. A Peculiar Comfort.

nihilistbear: For anyone who reads my flist, this will not be a new rec but I love it too much not to pimp it again. A Cold and Broken Hallelujah is a fic from the POV of a new slayer's father Post-Chosen and it is wonderful. Its title is also a lyric from Jeff Buckley's beautiful "Hallelujah"-- one of my favorite songs. I also really like Maps, a Faith/Wes fic.

nikitangel: Rebecca writes great Faith, and I have a peculiar affinity for her Faith/Angel-- peculiar because I abhor Angel with any female character but Buffy. So in that vein, I have to rec the sexy F/A fic Said the Spider to the Fly. And then there are her Dana & Faith fics One Great Thing and A Place in the Choir.
